A genuine specialism
Further Maths
Further Mathematics is one of the areas I most enjoy teaching. I work with students across Core Pure and the major applied options and can support students who need more than routine textbook practice.
The emphasis is on understanding the structure of the mathematics, choosing efficient methods and becoming comfortable with unfamiliar problems.
One tutor across the course
Where a student's specification includes several options, I can cover the different strands rather than requiring separate tutors for different papers.

How I teach online
Interactive, Written Mathematics
Lessons are built around doing mathematics rather than watching a presentation. Shared OneNote lets me see working in real time, annotate directly and keep a complete record of the lesson afterwards.
- Work is corrected while the reasoning is still fresh.
- Students can revisit complete worked examples after the lesson.
- Homework and lesson notes stay organised in one place.
- Exam technique is taught alongside the mathematics itself.
Lesson Notes & A-Level Resources
These examples show the mix of live handwritten explanation, structured guidance and targeted exam practice students receive alongside lessons.
Example lesson notes
From Core Identities to Trigonometric Integration
These pages show a typical progression: building fluency with the identities and their connections, then applying them efficiently in trigonometric integration. The red annotations show the prompts, links and shortcuts I add during lessons.
Trigonometric identities: key results, links between them and short derivations.
Integrating trigonometric functions: standard integrals, identity selection and reverse-chain-rule methods.
Other Example Resources
Bridging the Gap: Year 12 to Year 13
A pure maths diagnostic completed before summer lessons to identify gaps in Year 12 knowledge and guide the course. Building a strong foundation helps students keep pace with Year 13, rather than spending the first few weeks catching up on earlier content.
Logarithms & Algebra: Targeted A-Level Homework
A six-question homework set built from A-Level exam questions, combining logarithm laws, exponential and logarithmic equations, algebraic manipulation, factorisation and exact-value work. The preview shows Question 6 with my handwritten solution.
Evidence of Progress
Examples from existing A-Level and Further Maths reviews.
“Thank you so much for helping both boys to achieve their A*s in maths. The papers you made them really made a big difference.”
Parent of A-Level students – one to Oxford, one to UCL
“I just wanted to let you know that I got an A* in further maths – I could not have got consistently good results without your help.”
