What We Can Work On

Lessons are built around the questions or skills you most want to improve, rather than a fixed programme.

Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2 preparation

Focus specifically on ESAT Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2 questions, identifying gaps in the pure mathematics and reasoning they assess.

Mental arithmetic and non-calculator techniques

Build confidence with fractions, percentages, powers, approximations and algebra when a calculator is not available.

Timed questions, speed and efficient methods

Practise working to the pace of the test, choosing quick approaches and recognising when to move on from a difficult question.

You are welcome to send questions or practice papers beforehand so we can concentrate on the most useful material during the lesson.

How Your Lesson Is Prepared

I have taught more than 8,000 online lessons and use shared OneNote working, targeted questions and follow-up materials to make one-to-one sessions productive.

Bring the questions you want to tackle

Send through tricky practice or specimen questions beforehand. We can work through your reasoning together and focus on the techniques that will be most useful in the time remaining.

For a starting point, see my ESAT Mathematics preparation checklist or entrance-test diagnostic questions. These are examples of the resources I use to identify priorities, not a substitute for timed practice.
